Had to stop my work on save games for a while to fix some game-breaking bugs, that were messing up the interface. Save game functionality is kind of dull to implement, so I look forward to when I am done with this. I also added that cultures can now have a Slavic-flavor, with Slavic names for the heroes.
An interesting little feature is regiment name moddability. In the data folder there is now a file where you can script various regiment names by specifying various requirements for the name to be applied. The generator will then add this to the list of possible names when generating cultures. A post on the forums, here, explains how to use this file in greater detail.
