Auto-resolve for battles is back in, as promised last time. I have also been adding quite a few spells and units for the schools of magic that lacked content. Descriptions for a lot of spells, units and research items have been added. Behind the scenes the trade and market system is ready, and just needs a UI now – it allows buying and selling resources and creating permanent trade routes with various factions. A spell book UI has been added under the ‘Magic’ menu. It lists all spells you have researched and their effects. Non-tactical spells can also be cast from this dialog. And some crashes, freezes and generic bugs have been fixed as usual. Some work on reworking unit stats slightly to separate melee attacks from the base stats has also been done – melee damage should go away as a stat soon, and be replaced by individual attacks for each relevant weapon. This was also allow units with mixed weaponry and multiple attacks.
The next patch should have the trade/market UI and the attack stat changes, which will be the first change to tactical combat in a while. Tactical spell usage will hopefully follow soon after that.
