Just a brief update, since it’s already been a bit more than week since the last one. Currently working on customization of wizards, for those who want something different than the default templates. I’ve recently completed the Sigil customization screen, which is where you pick a combination of sigil and color. These are then used on the map, currently for armies, but soon also for cities, castles and other relevant sites.
Some of you might remember that the pre-Unity alpha had randomly generated banners for each neutral faction. I will soon be integrating this with the new display and storage system used by the wizard sigils. Having neutrals and rivals represented with relevant banners and flags is going to make the map much easier to read and help make the game world feel more alive.
Here’s a couple of screenshots of the work in progress*. I still have a bit of work left before I am happy to make a video showing the game setup process including these new elements, but it shouldn’t be more than a few days.
* These are very much work in progress – the UI layout and color selectors are not final (ie there will be a custom color option). The shrimp is probably also not going to be the default sigil. Currently the sigil and color are applied to the very basic shield icon – but it can be applied to anything, including whatever the final icons for armies end up being.
