Since last time I’ve been doing more work on dungeon mechanics. The boss fight UI is completed in a first version. I spent some time on the opponent Wizard AI, which has been much improved – they will now utilize their followers properly, send out armies to claim mana nodes and are able to reserve resources for future plans, instead of immediately spending everything on awful cannon fodder armies. It won’t be long before they can be a proper threat and start affecting the game world to a much greater degree.
There are a couple of other improvements, including an inventory section to the character dialog. You can follow the progress on the forums with more detail and continuous updates on: July Progress Post.
I’ve also made a new video – with audio commentary. I haven’t done videos with audio commentary before, so this was actually somewhat of a challenge. This video focuses on starting up a game, customizing a wizard and some random bits of game play. The next video will be about the overall design and vision for the game.
